Dear Landmark Academy, Students and Families;
This year marks my tenth year since the beginning of a truly amazing adventure that has become Landmark Academy. I want to begin with a heartfelt “Thank You” to all of the students, and parents/guardian that have become family to me. We could never have accomplished what we have without the prayers and support of so many. It is not possible to list the numerous individual contributions that stand out in my memory, so I will not even try. The years have flown by and it is hard to believe how many changes the years have brought. It has been even more difficult to accept what I believe is a change for me personally.
I have spent a great deal of time thinking about my continuing role at Landmark Academy. It is my feeling that I need to depart as a full time employee at this time. I do not yet understand what is next for my life but believe that I am to share in some manner many of the success stories from Landmark with other schools that have not been as fortunate. There are so many students in so many places that lack the environment to grow and learn that has been created here.
When it comes time for change, it forces an opportunity for others to rise to the challenge placed before them. There are some excellent people in the wings that will be able to lead the school into its new season. In addition, it is my desire that the board and the staff will be able to embrace those changes that the years ahead will require.
I want to say again how much I appreciate the opportunity to have worked with so many wonderful people over the years. I could not have had a more supportive board of directors and incredible staff to lead. While I could say that my departure leaves a hint of sadness, there is an element of excitement and anticipation of what the future will bring.
Thank you again for believing in me and providing me the opportunity to be part of such a great adventure and wonderful school.
